It was one of many gigs in NYC at the time....and as always...it rained. We just had finished playing at The Bond Street Cafe and we wanted some new shots, Lenny dragged all of his photo equipment into an alley across the street from the club and at 2:00 AM we took a few rolls....We wanted to capture how smokey and gross it was...and kept telling Tony to smoke a lot, he must have gone through more then a pack in an hour - the poor bastard got sick from it. Ultimately not much from these got used...it was humid and Scott hated his hair in most of them.
1993....I think. I really don't remember what session this was.
By 1994 we had abandoned the pretty boy image...Mausoleum had dropped the ball on the album, the grunge scene was flooding the radio, and we we're generally unhappy people...
...these were taken on some train tracks in Queens. The location was Lennys idea.
1995 brought the about the final image overhaul...shorter hair, street clothes, more tattoos & piercings. This is from the bathroom in Manhattan's famous CBGB's.
